Founded in 1986 in Nantong, Jiangsu, Square Technology Group has grown into China’s largest manufacturer of industrial food freezing and thermal processing equipment.
Across a 64 hectare (640,000 m²) manufacturing base with six subsidiaries and 1,800+ employees, we build spiral freezers, IQF tunnels, plate freezers, spiral ovens, continuous fryers, refrigeration skids, and PIR panels in our own plants.
Certified to CE, PED, ASME, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards with 300+ patents, Square supports over 5,000 installations in 80+ countries with 300+ R&D engineers and 300+ installation and service engineers.
Company History
Milestones: 1986 to 2026
1986
Founded in Nantong in 1986 and commissioned its first industrial contact plate freezer.
1987
Built China’s first domestic industrial quick freezing systems to replace imported lines.
1994
Expanded the product range to include spiral freezers, tunnel freezers, and industrial ice makers.
2009
Supplied marine freezing systems for ocean fishing vessels and founded the Provincial Quick Freezing Engineering Research Center.
2013
Expanded turnkey cold storage exports worldwide and launched high efficiency IQF and spiral freezers.
2016
Listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Main Board (603339.SS) and expanded global turnkey cold chain projects.
2018
Formed Square Technology Group Co., Ltd., uniting freezers, refrigeration skids, tank containers, heat exchangers, and PIR panels.
2019
Opened a dedicated 38,000 m² heat exchanger plant and expanded cooking and baking equipment exports.
2020
Started up a continuous German Hennecke PIR sandwich panel line.
2021
Established Sifangxing (Shanghai) Cold Chain Technology Co., Ltd. as an international R&D and engineering center.
2023
Earned FM 4880 Approval for PIR insulated panels and CNAS national lab accreditation for our thermal test center.
2025 to 2026
Expanded production across cryogenic insulation, tank containers, and automated food processing lines.
