The self-stacking spiral freezer features a self-stacking belt, chain-driven system and vertical air flow. The food can be frozen in a shorter time and be of better quality. The self-stacking spiral freezer meets the highest hygiene and energy-efficiency standards.

The self-stacking belt is driven by a chain system and operates completely on rolling balls. The resistance and noise caused by running the chain are reduced, so smaller motors can drive the system. The belt is not in tension in the run. The belt is less likely to be stretched and deformed. Self-stacking belt stacks on the top of each other’s side links. This self-stacking feature eliminates the rails supporting the belt.

The vertical airflow of high velocity touches the product through all stacks, providing an even, quick, efficient freezing result. The special holes on the sidelines also introduce cold air into the product zone and create turbulence. This provides uniform product temperature across the belt and increases the heat-exchanging efficiency.

The Model S10 self-stacking spiral freezers feature a 1-meter wide self-stacking belt, which is a record wide for the stacker belt. The spiral freezer can freeze 3 tons/hour of ready meal packs, from 60℃ to -10℃ in less than one hour, while the traditional blast chamber takes at least 5 to 6 hours to freeze. It has significantly increased the Australian customer’s productivity and improved the end product’s quality. The spiral freezer is perfectly integrated into other automatic food processing machinery before and after the freezer, including a packing machine, metal detector, weighing machine, etc. The SPC’s production cost is reduced through less usage of labor, electricity, and water, and better fluidity of process.

The Australia SPC project is not Square Technology’s only successful project for ready meals and prepared food. We have already delivered other spiral freezers and IQF installations to other areas of the world, including the USA, Europe, New Zealand, etc.
